Happy New Year!

Greetings to all in 2011. I hope that your New Year's Eve was just as amazing as mine was. I spent my time in Berlin with my boyfriend and friend which was fantastic. Mostly because I was with my boyfriend (he's the one with the really cute Santa hat on)!

So many many things have happened since I have seriously updated my blog. To name a few, myself and my exboyfriend broke up, I extended my tour in Kosovo, I found a new amazing boyfriend, and I've done a lot of traveling (Greece, Egypt, Croatia, Turkey, Germany). 2010 was definitely full of things I never thought I would do in my life especially by age 25. My fitness has definitely been up and down throughout the last year. On the up side of things, I haven't really gained any weight and still fluctuate between the same three pounds, on the down side of things I still fluctuate between the same three pounds. I haven't seriously been working out for awhile now......I'm not really sure why but I just can't seem to keep any kind of consistency at all. At least I have somewhat stopped obsessing about it all at the moment. That also goes through phases!

I do have some goals for this year, I'm hoping I an actually make them happen. I need some dedication so please if you have any encouragement of any kind it would be great to hear about it! I feel like I live such a different life than most people because they are able to access any food they want, any kind of exercise classes they want, etc. In Kosovo it's much more limiting, particularly the food situation so it's been much more of a struggle for me because I always end up eating pizza, bread, and pasta. Yeah because that's gonna help the situation a lot...........Ok so goals.......

  • Run a half marathon.......I have one that I might shoot for at the beginning of April in Prague, since I coincidentally want to go there anyways. I may attempt this training plan, it looks doable. I say that in my mind but the most I've ever run at one time I think is 4 miles maybe 4.5.

  • Lose 10 pounds..........My brother is getting married in June (yes it still freaks me out but I'm trying to deal with it). I want to get in shape so I don't look like a chunky monkey in pictures that will be around until I die because ewwwwwww. 10 seems more realistic to me than what I've been thinking I should shoot for. If I get to 10 then maybe more is possible later. Baby steps!

  • Try to each much less pizza. This is a toughie because everyone that knows me knows that I am obsessed with pizza!! Too bad it's also some of the only good tasting food found in Kosovo.........At one point I thought it was a good idea to try and start a 30 day pizza eating diet. I was only half serious......

  • Tone up and get some muscle..........Seriously who has cellulite on almost their entire body! Enough said.

  • Keep myself accountable. I really need to keep up on this blog. I always feel like my thoughts are not as funny or interesting as some peoples. Like why do some people's blogs become popular whereas others do not? Oh well maybe I will somehow find motivation because I sure don't have much of it right now!

I have 3-4 months left in Kosovo and then.............I will be going to Sarajevo in Bosnia for 9 months. I'm pretty excited about this new move in my life, it may be a little lonely but I hope it's a great life experience. One thing as a whole that I can say is that in 2010 I found myself and what makes me happy. I just went home after 14 months for the holidays and had lots of comments on how happy I seem and for once in my life I agree. I feel like everything is going right for once in my life and although it could always be improved I have great friends, a great boyfriend, and family and a job that affords me to do some traveling and get some amazing life and work experiences.

So stay tuned for all the new adventures in my life, it could be a crazy ride!
